The South African Revenue Service's eFiling service still hasn't got back to me over their non-support of government-promoted Open Source platforms. I've sent off a reminder, and hopefully they'll be more responsive this time around. Perhaps some additional requests will prioritise their reply...

Tried doing my returns online for the first time and found it to be the most frustrating week of the year so far! And lime green links on a white background!? What were they thinking? Also made lots of suggestions to them (in good spirit) but no reply so far. Did get some clarity on one issue though... I trie dto register with username igitur but the system defaulted to igitur2189. I queried. They replied. Seems they use the last 4 digits to identify the user. Heck... why not use the USERNAME? Or better, the ID number that I entered!? I agree with you on the open source platform issue, but I highly doubt they'll be able to set that up themselves if they can't even get a basic design right in the first place. cheers F
